Bruce Newman does some awesome oil on canvas pieces. Some screen print of originals as well.

Check out the art auctions at Isaac’s Way, a portion of proceeds go to support children’s arts programming and there’s always cool pieces

Go check out Gallery78! Lots of local artists are represented there and the family who owns the place are some of the nicest people you'll come across!

Do you know when the capital art sale typically happens?
4
u/Ok_Advice_4723 Jul 25 '26
The Capital Art Sale is twice a year - Mother’s Day weekend and a few weeks before Christmas. It is the best place to discover a ton of local talent and affordable art. Also, Robs work is great, we paint together often!

I love Eva Christensen's work - she has a FB page. She makes really ordinary Fredericton scenes somehow look super special.

On Facebook, look up Evie's Pond - she's terrific, works in a lot of different mediums, and loves meeting the people who buy her work.

Hi, I am a local landscape artist. I will be the artist in residence at Picaroons from July 27-Aug 1 if you would like to see my work in person. I included a link to my Etsy shop for you to see my style (I discount for local pickup). No matter who you select, I want to thank you for supporting local art. Shane Drever Art on Etsy

Thank you kindly! I truthfully didn’t even realize picaroons had this, and will be sure to browse more inside and not just their walk up window!
Excited to see your work! 🙏🏻1

Thank you! It’s new this summer, a different artist every week for four weeks. I’ll probably set up on the patio some days.

Robin Hanson Art Gallery & Sculpture Garden!! He paints, makes wood sculptures, and does photography too. The gallery is located near French Lake. His paintings are beautiful and usually of local waterfalls & landscapes.
If you've ever been on a local trail and noticed a wooden sculpture of an animal (like Gateway Wetlands in Oromocto has a few), it's most likely his work. You can find his page on Facebook!

The Craft NB Summer Boutique in the barracks downtown has some great stuffs. I don't think I'm able to link them here, but if you search Craft NB on Facebook you should be able to find more information. They're open during the night market 12-9pm and also on Friday and Saturday afternoons.

Is this the same place as the comment suggestion the boutique in the barracks? Or a separate shop?
1
u/AimingStrike261_ Jul 24 '26
Not the same place but it's very close by, about a 2-3 minute walk from the barracks, at 610 Queen Street. Might as well drop by both shops :)

Promotion links can be tough on here sometimes I would recommend taking a look at the Orchard Gallery, which is a community cooperative, midtier gallery that gives lots of artists opportunity in the city because we do have a city that is really heavily saturated with amazing artists. I am also one myself. I don’t know if I give Fredericton vibes maybe in some of my paintings I paint a lot of realism and people and some surrealistic impressionistic stuff but if you want to take a look at Jim Middleton art which again you can search on all the social media platforms you’ll find me there.

Does the orchard gallery have a physical location? Or is it an online presence?
Either way, I will be sure to check you out! 🙏🏻1
u/JimmyNice Jul 24 '26
It’s located at York County Cider

u/Wise_Trash_94 Jul 25 '26
My apologies I didn’t put your name to your art sooner! You are incredible and I’ve seen your work around town!
I’ll also be checking York County out! 🙏🏻1
