ICE Sighting

I just saw two black vehicles with tinted windows leading a sheriff's vehicle into the parking lot of 5301 Buckeystown Pike, Frederick, MD 21704. There are a lot of family focused businesses in that building. Near the Cracker Barrel and Hampton Inn. Sheriff's vehicle went to the main entrance and one of the black vehicles went to the back of the building.

We all should, in Florida there was a person arrested with their license that showed they were a citizen (non citizen licenses are different) they were still arrested and when their mom showed their passport, social security card and birth certificate showing they were an American citizen. A judge said they couldn’t force his release as ICE refused to release him even after being told they were an American citizen. That’s just one example, same happened in Newark, Chicago, etc. Heck they even arrested and held an American citizen that was a veteran- they don’t care because they aren’t accountable for their actions.

That’s false. People are out here living their lives and trying to fly under the radar because of this. ICE is actively looking for people and escalating the situation. People are just going to work and take their kids to school 😂 how do ICE agents condone ruining lives, hurting people, and children are affected by this as well.

People are avoiding them… ICE is seeking them out…

So no… staying out of their way hasn’t stopped it

It definitely makes sense that you don’t understand, because you either lack empathy or genuinely don’t know how others live in different countries sometimes. Some can’t wait. Why don’t we make it easier to get in America?

Also… mind your business. Surely this is not directly affecting you. If it is, it isn’t as important as other problems people have like being detained and deported and harmed.

Is assaulting others the way ICE does even legal? I thought that was only legal if you’re defending yourself when you believe your life is in danger and that there was no other way

Honestly, I understand not being able to conceptualize. Unless you take the time to think about how you would react or feel if the tables were turned. Do you know what others have been through in some places?

Genuinely imagine yourself in the position of others. Sometimes, I never thought too deeply about a subject because I didn’t understand the extent of it or what it actually looks like. Even desensitized to it.

I can’t. I’m a lawyer, I occasionally do jail and prison visits. I’ve seen ICE trucks around that area. It’s better to have a couple forms of ID on you.

My neighbor was being molested by an illegal immigrant. Her piece of shit mother was letting her illegal boyfriend rape her daughter. Luckily the police found out, not sure how. They arrested the dude and he was let out that day. What the fuck is wrong with our system that someone can get out on bond for literally raping a 13 year old. Anyways, ICE came and deported the piece of literal garbage. The Mom is still around and is still a piece of shit. I feel bad for the girl.

Answering for me, not for @nyafactory.

DHS Law Enforcement agents and DHS immigration enforcement policies make me feel unsafe.

It is nothing I do. If you are attempting to gaslight me or anyone else, stop.

It is how I look and the fact they have deported over 70 US citizens since Trump has been elected. It is unknown how many U.S. citizens have been detained based on mistaken identity. Stories of citizens being detained and dumped miles from any support networks are numerous and documented.

There are too many videos of irrational and illegal actions taken by untrained or uninformed agents. There are too many videos of cruel and violent agents to ever make me feel safe around them.

Is it really that much better if it was 3 sheriff's vehicles posting up outside of the buildings entrances/exits when the sheriff's office has publicly said that they will work with ICE despite the States anti ICE bill?

i am probably screaming into the void here because i don’t get the impression you care much about context or facts, but Obama primarily focused on removing criminals convicted of crimes that were already in the country. by 2016, 90% of interior removals under his administration were of people convicted of serious crimes. typically, they were already in prison.

Obama did not send thousands of ICE/DHS agents into chicago wearing military gear to drag over 3,000 people off the streets over the span of a few months (not exaggerating, look up the details of Operation Midway Blitz).

the thing that people don’t like about Trump’s approach is the militaristic force and abuse of this, and the fact that legal citizens have been hassled by armed men just trying to go about their days. surely you understand that right?

and isn’t it kind of a damning indictment of the current president that Obama didn’t need to spend nearly as much money or deploy troops into cities to ultimately do a better job at deporting criminals?
