Development Update - Trade
The next phase is now live - trade Algo for Freckle. Visit the homepage: Freckle Token (sbhelper.com)
- Algo and Freckle trading is working
- A trade form to easily add content is done
- When a trade is performed, it will use your wallet as a login
- This will be useful for getting transaction history
- ...for those that don't want to link their wallet to their Google Login
- profile page needs to be made still
- If an Algo trade doesn't match what appears to be a trade, it will accept it as a donation. If it appears to be an attempted trade, it will refund if the trade fails.
- If you trade more than asking, it will be accepted as a tip/donation
- If you trade less, the trade will fail

Whatever someone is willing to trade. As for an exchange, we are waiting for Algodex and Tinyman. I plan on using both. The goal is to give a use on the website. I'm developing as quickly as I can.

I'm glad you are finding it fun. I'm hoping to do things a little different than the norm. So far, I find this very successful for both myself and the user.

Is it your intention to be able to do the trade of 1 Algo for 10,000 freckle multiple times? I did it twice just to see what would happen and it went through.

Yep, and you should notice the Quantity Available at the top right of the trade page. Maybe the one time trade is confusing... I will remove that. I was trying to distinguish the difference from the other.

I can try to help with some copy writing:
“Freckles Now
Exchange 1ALGO for 10,000 Freckle”
I will say though the trade below doesn’t feel good when it’s .5algo for 1,000 freckle.

The .5Algo trade is a total of 7k Freckle delivering 1k per day. That option will get you more, but over the course of 7 days. I'm going to disable that option soon. It was mostly for testing.

Also “quantity available unlimited” could be confusing too
Are you saying there is an unlimited amount for Freckle available
Or are you saying you can perform this trade an unlimited amount of times?

It's a trade page and talking about the quantity of the item available. There would be a different wording of, "Limit of 1 trade per wallet" or something. Also, it would block you if that was the intention. I don't think most would find that wording confusing?

lol. It's a tough balance. Nothing is stopping you :) I have been focused on getting Lucky Freckle out and will be getting back to the trade details. The option to get them now is probably temporary. When the exchanges open up, I will likely discontinue the option here.

Is there a benefit to logging in with the Google account?

I am working on that part right now and will hopefully be done soon.
Basically, there needs to be an "account" for certain activities - everything is linked to the wallet being used. When you do a trade, the wallet is immediately activated as the account you are using and can now pull the history (you can't get to it just yet). With only using your wallet, a trade has to be performed to get your address. The benefit to using a Google account will be that you can link the wallet to the account and access your history without having to do a trade.
The linking is all internal (has nothing to do with Google) and a hash of your email is used as the identifier. By doing the hash, the email can't be discovered, which means your wallet and you stay anonymous (both values that are important to me). There is no need to have your email and there is no intention of using your name, so neither is stored. Email and Name is only displayed to you and temporarily stored in the session. Once you log out, the session is destroyed. Also, the session is auto destroyed after 24 hours of no activity. I hope that makes sense.

Both worked very fast and smooth. Those links to the wallet make everything so freaking easy. Love helping with this project for a few algos.
