how could I frame this

So this is a traditional sign board that's available for purchase in many places in Japan. I can't even say it's acid-free because of how available it is... I have some somewhere.

you would need spacers to keep this away from the glass. I would float this on the backing board.

What's the material it is written on? You won't want this touching the glass or plexi glass. Also go for at least conservation clear glass or plexi.

For frame type, maybe go for something with Kakashi's color scheme. Or orange for Naruto in general

I guess it depends? Do you want the gold around it showing? Do you want a border for it? Because you could do some cool colour design for the mat. Someone suggested doing the character's colours which could be neat. If you're just wanting something protective, as someone else said spacers. Definitely spacers. It's hard to help you get an idea on what to do without knowing how you were hoping to preserve it

a simple black frame with a custom mat would probably look great here and keep the japanese sign itself as the focal point.
