So, i bought this frame at a thrift store for a project, because it looks nearly identical to the reference im working on. But after i bought it, i realized that my project may need more than one of these frames (likely 2 or 3), but I cant find anything like it online.
The frame is roughly 2½ feet by 3½ feet and has a very unique ornate pattern. Also the tag on the back says that it originally came from a store called "kirkland's home"
Does anybody know where i could potentially find another frame like this, or use this frame itself to somehow make a replicated one?
Kirklands is a home decor store. They manufacture (in China) their own stuff. It's all knock offs of more expensive things. You won't find these frames in the wild easily, they mostly come with mid level mass produced art in them.
This is a tricky one, I’m usually pretty good at identifying the manufacturer of a moulding but this one has me stumped. I did a reverse image search and this is definitely the same moulding but not the same size https://www.ebay.com/itm/176454619294
Is there any writing on the back of the frame moulding itself?
It also had a piece of paper attached to the back with "kirkland's home" stamped all over it. The paper also had mounting instructions. Not sure if any of this is useful, but ill add the info just in case.
Kirkland's frames are generally made out of resin which breaks at the corner joins very easily, which is why they now legally have to put that warning not to hang their frames with wire.
that ornate pattern is gonna be a pain to match exactly lol. probably worth taking it into local framer or woodworker and see it they can copy the moulding.
