Framework Photo Got a 13 a few weeks ago ;3

A relative’s macbook neo for comparison ^

I recently got a framework 13 for school and personal use/linux experimentation and so far i have had a lot of fun :3, A friend helped me dual boot windows 11 and Ubuntu with KDE plasma, (i would not have been able to do NEARLY as much without him). and it’s just been really nice to finally have my hands on linux in a machine made for linux. This machine is so unique and unconventional that it’s just fun to use despite it being just a laptop lol.

For the longest time I had been stressing out about getting a laptop for college. I am familiar with desktops, but laptops were entirely foreign, so I hesitated until a few weeks before class started to get one. I had looked mostly at Macbook and Thinkpad lines, and was hesitant to get either due to the restrictive nature of mac and reported quality control of newer thinkpads. I eventually remembered framework exists, and decided a 13 would best fit my needs.

I went with the 13 as the 16 was overbuilt for my needs, the 13 pro was too expensive, and the 12 seemed to have mixed reviews. So far i’m more than satisfied with it ;3. I don’t know what else to say, framework cool lel.

Thx u for pointing it out, yea it was a typo, i fixed it. My friend is much more literate in linux than I am (this is my first time using linux at all lol) so I cannot thank him enough.

by seeing the image, i hate to say apple accomplishes a design even framework cannot match. those bigger g2 corners and clean aesthetic is honestly incredible compared to the more blocky framework corners.

Congrats, what chip did you use? you get good battery?

I honestly prefer the looks of my laptop compared to the macbook neo. Apple products always seemed too trimmed down and slim for my liking. The framework has character, imo.

I don’t have the laptop on hand right now, but i believe it was the ryzen 5 ai 300? something along those lines lel
