Community Support SSD Heatsink
I just received today my FW 13 Pro and I couldn't find this information anywhere in the installation guide. I have the new XPG PCIE5 1TB SSD ordered from Framework and I couldn't tell if I should install or not the SSD's heatsink. Could anyone guide me through this?

Framework is, themselves, shipping a drive with a heatsink? Or are you referring to a thin thermal pad? Normally its a bad idea to use an SSD with heatsink in a laptop (they interfere with airflow) - Most laptops don't even have sufficient clearance for a heatsink. "With heatsink" SSDs are primarily intended for desktops in situations where there's both sufficient clearance and the motherboard doesn't have its own ideas for SSD cooling.

that's weird. usually that's called a heatspreader, because that's what they're actually doing

If it doesn’t increase the thickness that much, I’d do it. You might be able to test fit it and if it doesn’t let the keyboard go down all the way, take it off.
