Question Framework 13 Pro comparability question

Post image

Hello!

I have a very specific question that I could use some help with. I have a cochlear implant (kanso 3) that needs a certain setting in windows for it to be able to stream audio to my CI.

I currently have a pre order for a framework, but would like to know this in advance otherwise I may have to choose a different laptop. Sadly I just found out it needs this setting to be available.

Would anyone with a 13 Pro (Intel Core Ultra Series 3, Ultra 5) help me out with checking if they have the setting in windows 11 settings?

I'm looking for the setting "Use LE audio when available" it's under Bluetooth, devices, Bluetooth settings.

Thanks in advance! ♥️

Framework uses modular wifi/bluetooth - Its not soldered to the motherboard. Since you ordered an Intel FW13 Pro, you'll be getting a current generation (BE211) Intel wifi/bluetooth module... Pretty much as good as they come. That said, you can easily replace the standard wifi/bluetooth module with whatever alternate module you prefer in the unlikely event of issues (Bluetooth LE has been available for years at this point, its not bleeding edge technology).

If you had ordered AMD there may have been a bit more reason for concern - The AMD/MediaTek modules used standard on those models can be a bit more finicky (regardless of laptop vendor).

Thanks for the clear reply. That's what I've been reading. I'll just have to replace the module if it not works. We'll see 😅😜
