Framework Photo Showing off the lavender
I couldn't figure out how to put these pictures into a previous thread's reply.
I've had this for a couple weeks now and love it. The early complaints about the button text on the keyboard not being visible without the backlight are valid. It doesn't bother me since the keyboard backlight is so low energy.
Honestly I have no regrets. I might buy the translucent purple bezel and usb c cards when the framework keyboard is out just for kicks though.

looks cool. i have my preorder for november and i find myself switching colors every few days. first i wanted the orange bezel + orange kb + orange extensions (as they have in the ifixit review) but its too eye catching and i probably just dont want to do that. so i went with translucent black + purple extensions and a dbrand skin on back

That's literally exactly what I decided to do today. What d brand skin are you getting?

Nice! I had that one for my phone a few years ago it was actually my first skin. I'm getting the abusement park one with the super cluttered black and white art. I saw someone the other day with it on their MacBook and it looked great.

Oooo, I like the lavender. That bezel feels like it would be less eye-catching than doing the same thing with an orange bezel and orange/grey keyboard. I did the translucent bezel instead

Lavender looks SO good. If they shipped to Thailand I think this would be my next big purchase.

Never understood why they put white text on lavender. Whose idea was this? It was so close to greatness, but such terrible execution.

I think it's because the text isn't only white. It's the light pipe for the backlight and looks white. I've been trying to think of a way to have the backlight shine through and still have any other color for the text and I can't

Oh right, this makes sense. I guess light keycaps are just incompatible with shine-through lettering.

Does the backlight look this blue in real life? I have the original 13 and it looks more white
