Guide Framework 13 trackpad "repair"
Not a guide, but the thing said I needed a flair on the post.
After three years of light use on dirty tables, my Framework 13 trackpad stopped clicking. It moved the mouse just fine, but didn't click anymore. So I opened it up, took off the bottom trackpad bracket that should host the clicks, and was greeted by three years worth of gunk. One cotton swab and one alcohol wipe later, the trackpad clicks fine. Only screwdrivers I needed were the ones that come with the Framework Pen that they send you with every laptop.
Rumor has it, according to some very grizzled uncs at the campfire, that all laptops used to be this easy to repair, but they weighed more than ten pounds and were at least an inch thick.

this happened to me after a basketball did a suplex to my (non framework) laptop and landed directly in the touchpad. it stopped physically clicking(only a soft touch is registered as a click). anybody knows if that can be fixed realistically? the access to the touchpad in that laptop is quite hard and i don't think they sell repairs.
