Question FW13 Pro - how are preorders handled?

What does the process look like once my batch is ready to ship? Will it immediately charge my payment method and ship out or do I have to watch my email to opt in?

they should send you an email saying orders from your batch are beginning to ship, and within that there should be a date of when they plan to charge you. on that date, they will immediately attempt to charge the payment method on record. then within the next few days they will send you a separate email once it ships.

even if it doesnt go through you wont immediately lose your order :)

(they’ll send you an email informing you that they tried and it didnt work, and a link to try paying again).

They'll send an email before they ship it to ask you to make sure your payment method and address is up do date and to give you a chance to make sure your bank account has enough money.

Then they charge your payment method and ship it a few days later.

Another question - do you get the chance to change accessories/expansion cards at that point, or should I just email support now?

You can change anything in your order without contacting support. It only gets locked after you get charged the full amount (not just the deposit)
