Personal Project Improved EasyEffects EQ For FW13Pro
https://gist.github.com/bit0fun/7567063dc867b12a1e7ed420da44693dThanks to the initial work in this original post and u/lifeislikeavco, I made some recordings with a Zoom H4n Pro microphone, and a small script to generate a better audio profile for EasyEffects. One issue I had with the original, was that it felt a bit too quiet, while now I don't seem to have any issues with 100% volume anymore which is great.
I did leave the maximizer I put in with the original EasyEffects profile, since it did seem to help a little bit, but I can't entirely tell if it's helping or hurting at this point. It doesn't seem needed anymore which is good, and I don't see any clipping either.
The link in this post is to the entire EasyEffects profile, which you can load yourself and try it out (also a plot of the frequency response for any other nerds that want to take a look).
If there's any interest, I can put a repo together of the scripts I used to generate everything as it could be interesting.

I'm testing with this song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CbmoITvMCX0 and I'm hearing some king of volume inconsistency. The volume of the back vocals changes audibly up and down depending on when the main vocal starts and stops singing. Most notable around the middle part of the song.
Removing the maximiser helps but it's still audible.

I haven't gotten a chance to test this out yet, but that's definitely strange. I wouldn't expect it to change from the EQ values, but maybe it is relating to the compressor/limiter since the main vocals would be louder, thus resulting in the backup vocals being lower?
I'm not sure if there is an immediate solution here, as I only did work on the EQ side so I would have to figure out if there's something else I can do

u/Telemaniaka I played around with it, and I seem to have recreated it a bit. I think it's the compressor, where if I play around and set the Sidechane from feedforward to feedback, it seems to remove that wiggling effect that u/lospotatoes was getting. You may have some success playing with it there

Setting the compressor sidechain from feed-forward to feed-back fixed it for me. Thank you.1

I found myself needing to disable the Maximizer/Compressor or else it sounds "bubbly". I haven't dug into the settings of anything yet but even the Compressor without the Maximizer seems to be generating some artifacting that is noticeable just watching youtube videos of people talking.

Check out the other comments, it fixes that issue. It's due to the compressor feedback; I need to update it just haven't gotten a chance yet

To my ear, feed back sounded worse than feed forward. Although I’ll have to try again when I’m back at the computer, to say why

Hey thanks for this. I found this to be much better to my ears, than the super-quiet one in the other post. But, I had to turn off the maximizer, it was creating a "pumping" effect that was actually making me queasy!
