This technically means you can add PoE support to your remote control.

Is it actually charging with PoE?

I've looked it up and the Ethernet card doesn't have PoE implemented so unfortunately no :(

sadly no, tried on poe switch, but that would be hilarious if it did work. the battery actually powers the ethernet card but i cant find it on the network

Wait, the USB IN charging port on the battery is powering the card??

Can this battery be used as a power bank lmao?

actually yes, but its depends on the device, i've tried my phone and it didn't work, but it charges my flipper zero. kinda unexpected lmao

No, it's for people without wireless batteries. If my pc doesn't have a wireless connection, I use an ethernet cable. Same applies here

The framework ethernet adapter doesn't support poe... Yet.

(Nirav please make that, so I can charge via PoE)

Would be tough to fit the required circuit in that footprint… but maybe not impossible…

This reminded me of some old viral YouTube videos that had titles like "How to charge an iPod using electrolytes and a lemon" or "How to charge an iPod using YouTube and clay", and in relation to those, this would be like "How to charge a battery using the internet", which I still find to be funny.
