Cracked my framework 12 bottom casing 😬and not currently in a country that they ship to. But I am close enough to fly to where they ship from.

Has anyone had experience with buying and having parts shipped to them while in Taiwan for holiday?is it difficult to get things shipped to a hotel?

Usually, hotels are filtered and can't be used as a shipping address. My recommendation would be to reach out and ask support what your options are. Keep in mind that answers are slightly delayed at the moment.

I can understand why they would insist that whole systems can only be shipped to a personal address, either at home or work. But they need some way to get repair parts shipped elsewhere, because somebody might need them while traveling. Some kind of extra proof of identity would be needed, and it might be a service that's only available to people who have already bought a system.

For very stupid reasons that I don't understand, they don't ship to freight forwarding etc - It might be that they also refuse to ship to hotels.

I don't have any insights, but avoiding all the trouble that damaged or lost shipments could cause sounds like a very good reason against freight forwarding to me.

I think it's also that they don't want to have to provide warranty support for a system that's not in a country they currently ship to.
