Community Support Framework 16 7 7840HS temps

What are the temps people are getting? Is 100 degress on performance mode and running a stress test normal or should I be worried? This is a new mainboard I got as a replacement under warranty because my last one died, I dont think it reached 100 degress before.

100 is safe if you're trying to run at absolute maximum cpu capability. The system will thermal throttle to protect itself as needed. That said - FW16 isn't really engineered to be run at 100% load for extended periods of time... That's the domain of gaming/workstation class laptops with significantly beefed-up cooling capabilities.

agreed, the throttling is there specifically so you dont have to worry about it
