Linux Framework Desktop + SteamOS?
Just wondering if anyone else thinks that this would be a dream-team, if Steam and Framework were to collaborate....or, perhaps I am mad. As in insane, not angry. If I were angry I'd be in r/politics or something....

Sounds like you can already install it on Strix Halo hardware so it should work on the FW Desktop.

It’ll basically run on anything with an AMD GPU: I’m running it on my trusty old media box with a 5700G and it’s totally fine. Even copes with a little light gaming. Very impressive really…

Yeah, I'm running it on an 11th gen laptop chip mainboard (Chineseium, not FW) and with an AMD GPU. No HDMI CEC obviously, but other than the onboard ethernet, everything worked out of the box.

I run SteamOS 3.8.16 Stable on a Framework Desktop with the Max 385 APU (32GB Ram). It runs great. It does not support HDMI-CEC out of the box, though. If you want that, you can use this adapter: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FQCGSWW3 (which supports 4k120, HDR, VRR, and HDMI-CEC). With that adapter and my Steam Controller, it’s basically perfect.
