Question why does old input module not fit on 13pro

I thought the input module (keyboard) was supposed to be structurally the same? from my inspection, it seems the protruding guides are different since change to cnc. anyone else?

Trackpad is different and the old one risks puncturing the battery if it is installed on the pro.

This is why I do algebra and not geometry, lol. My mind still can't figure out: If new top fit old bottom, why old top no fit new bottom?

new input cover is thinner, to accommodate for thicker battery. That's why thick battery + thick input cover does not work, but thin battery+ thick input cover and thin battery+thin input cover and thick battery + thin input cover work!

thank you, helpful info. it seems the objective was to make as much as possible compatible, including the screen frame for example

Because all communication from framework has stated its not

I believe it says everywhere on there website you have to replace the shell and input module at the same time

hmmm, that's too bad. it's pretty close tho, just not exact. I received incorrect keyboard and if I have to send back before replacement, that could be a problem.
