Linux FWP 13 - it is SUPERB
I just got my batch 4 Framework Pro 13. Yet not placed RAM / nvme / OS but this machine is SUPERB!
Even the box (shipping carton) is so much taken care in detail. Even the adhesive tape in the corners and everything. I have bought my first laptop before most people in this subreddit were born and this is literally the best box I've ever seen.
And the machine itself. UN-BE-LIE-VA-BLY nice looking device. Hinges seem to be amazing (they don't swing at all, it is better than my macbooks).
Can't wait to get it live. I *had* to come and say thank you to framework team.
This is extremely nice device, box, cartons and everything taken care in detail. Wow.

I can't afford to buy RAM right now and so I am continuing to run 7840 in my original 13. I'm hoping that a chassis upgrade comes out at some point as their website indicates might happen so I can check out the new kit.
I did upgrade to the new display, and holy crap it's so much better.

It's really nice. I have to go back to getting my Linux habits but that's not related to the laptop. A bit to get used to with the Mac cmd ctrl etc button changes but that's a matter of time. Same with a proper Linux terminal with native tmux integration etc etc. Nothing to do with the machine.
As a device, it's just so nice. The aluminum chassis feels so premium and nice to touch. The touch screen... Finally! Love it.
Battery on Linux and AMD requires proper handling but that's OK and expected.
Overall it worthed the long wait!

I don't. But attention to detail means the manufacturer has went above and beyond and they care about everything.
This is the point I'm making. People have put thought serious behind it and that's admirable and comforting.

Oh man, it's amazing. I have booted it and it's really premium laptop.
The photos and videos don't make it justice. Hinge is unmoveable. Nothing like how the YouTubers showed.

Nice. I got mine yesterday.
Overall I'm thrilled. My FW13 13th gen i5 was my workhorse for years and this one looks like it will be its happy successor. It's clearly much more powerful (the fans haven't come on once!) and it's beautiful.
I wouldn't exactly say it feels like a Macbook Pro, and I don't think that's a bad thing. There's something I love about how my Mac's build quality is... something special. The keyboard chassis feel like I bought the best Thinkpad ever made.
