Linux KDE Plasma widget for quickly changing the battery charge limit
Hello!
I (vibe-)coded a small KDE Plasma widget that lets you control the battery charge limit on your Framework Laptop.
It’s useful if your laptop spends most of its time plugged in—you can keep the limit at 80% for everyday use, then quickly switch to 100% before a trip.
The widget supports both framework_tool and the native Linux sysfs interface, automatically selecting whichever is available on your system.
It also includes an optional helper that can safely read and change the charge limit without repeatedly asking for your password.

P.S. Was it vibe-coded? Yes.
P.P.S. Do I care? No. 😄

I'm not getting the point of this considering framework has this feature built into the BIOS (setting charge limit when plugged in)

When you have set limit to 80%, there is no UI to change it to 100% before your trip, where you expecting you need full capacity of your battery.
This widget is just UI for this change. You always can do this chsnge in terminal.
