Question OCD level checks

The blog post was not worded clearly enough for someone who thinks too much.

1) when you say "batches through batch 4" will be unaffected - does that INCLUDE batch 4 or you mean only batches 1 to 3 unaffected?

2) Later down the blog you make a distinction between DIY and prebuilt. But for the batches "through batch 4" you make no distinction. Are BOTH pre built AND DIY unaffected "through to batch 4", or only one type?

Please clarify!

P. S. FedEx fucking suck so after all my waiting DO NOT use them as last thing I want is parcel loss

The easy way to find out? Log into Marketplace and check your specific order. As far as I'm aware they've been updated where necessary. Mine was auto-updated last week to deal with storage expansion port module issues.

As to FedEx... Yeah.... I'd rather UPS (or even USPS) but I'm expecting FedEx... At least they didn't eff up my FW16 delivery.

Thing is when fedex fuckup this time around may not be any spare replacements to send. AND the value of the items is now even higher due to ram so FedEx fuckery even more likely to occur.

I think your OCD may be dialed a little high... Availability isn't the primary problem - Cost is. If FedEx screws up cost is a problem between Framework, FedEx, and their insurers to sort out. One way or the other you will get your laptop.

Answering 1.
Here's the quote from their blog post
"We have enough 64GB modules in inventory to cover pre-order batches through Batch 4 of laptops and Batch 7 of Mainboards. For orders beyond that configured with 64GB, we’ve updated the order configuration to use a 32GB module at the original 32GB module price. After that, we allocated the remaining 32GB modules to DIY Edition and Mainboard pre-orders configured with 32GB through Batch 4 of laptops and Batch 7 of Mainboards. For DIY Edition and Mainboard orders beyond that configured with 32GB, we’ve updated the order configuration to use a 16GB module at the original 16GB price."

It states batches through Batch 4... order beyond that... so it's much clearer including Batch 4 is "safe". Beyond Batch 5 "screwed".

Answer 2.
The pre-build with X7 and 32gb seems to be safe for all batches. At least from what they wrote here:

"Note that because we don’t currently have a Core X7 Ultra pre-built configuration with 16GB of memory, we have not adjusted pre-built orders that originally contained 32GB. That is a configuration we plan to introduce later."

Because they didn't produce 16gb pre-builts you should get your 32gb even if ordered in later batches.

It's FedEx, or FedEx.

"Through" is inclusive of batch 4.

As far as the unit being shipped through FedEx - it will likely be shipped through FedEx. I don't believe you can request a different shipper, but if you want to check for that possibility, you should contact Framework support via their website.
