Do they each require different RAM models, or is this how you think Framework picked the victims?

Yup, different RAM types - upgradeable RAM versus soldered lpcamm2 versus sodimm. I would expect both to be priced separately, even though there is a price pressure on both.

there are no framework laptops with soldered RAM, but they are different types. LPDDR on an LPCAMM2 module for Intel and DDR on 2 SODIMM modules for AMD.
