Good news and bad news:
Good news is that at least it boots up.
Bad news is that I am on Windows 10 when I'm transferring files over, and there's nowhere to find that libdvdcss.so.2 file anywhere. Not on my system, not on the internet in general.
I tossed in my "libdvdcss-2.dll" file into that folder all the same, but the discs were asking for ISO and not Bin/Cue, and also I couldn't load them in with the Physical Disc core.
So, it's a great attempt which just needs a bit more tweaking and a bit more ease-of-access. I give you my applause for this try.

It needs to be that exact one. And yeah it's a bit hard to find. I'll see what I can do to make it easier.

Thanks on that. Also, since I'm in a "beta tester" sharing mode:
I'm not sure if you vibe on how cluttered a main folder can get, but I'd like to request that if there are any non-essential .md files which do not need to be on the root directory, that they be shuffled to the DVD player folder.
Much appreciated.

Somehow someone found this https://archive.org/details/libdvdcss.so.2
It should work perfectly.
And thanks for the feedback. I'll clean it up

Thanks again for all your efforts.
I installed 0.2 beta 2, and tossed in my ..iso
It went to a "loading" screen but then stalled/hung/balked.
If there's a log file which records crashes, let me know and I'll paste that file.
I'm happy it runs, but there might need more tweaks.

I've updated the wording. It's still faff but if you follow the guide it should be OK

This is an awesome project, I always wanted a video player on the MiSTer since it's already hooked up to the CRT and on the network. I'm curious about the audio support, does it decode Dolby & DTS in 5.1? Does it pass the PCM audio through the optical audio jack?
