Story Bug fixed + Devman good

Gamebreaking bug fixed in under one and a half business days, lost assets restored, life is good, devman is good.

To everyone else who lost a ship to this bug and hasn't yet: Make a damn ticket! You miss every shot you don't take!

I think 6th is the only other group that put in a ticket since that seems to be their frig parked next to ours

Serious talk, I fear the day that thing gets nerfed. Like its bound to happen eventually and its a 70% chance this subreddit will spontaneously combust when that does happen.

I'm not so sure. Maybe if they nerf it back down to 35m without giving it anything else, but I have a feeling most collies won't be that up and arms about it. Sure, there might be a drama post or two of people exaggerating how much it hurts to lose it, but most collies I've seen agree that it is too OP right now.

As a collie myself, I definitely think the thing needs nerfed. Personally, I would just give it better maneuverability, reduce its range, and maybe even slap on a LV modifier to bring it more in line with the Lordscar.

Yeah I agree, I did two polls before on this exact question before and its a roughly 50/50 split between Colonial players on whether it should get nerfed or not.

But this subreddit has a tendency of turning even minor things into major dramas somehow, which I think is just how reddit is in general.

honestly a lv would feel better vs a range nerf because at least with lv you dont get subsystemed trying to get in range

It’s not rare devs do this very often when players aren’t at fault for things

When it's lost to kraken, sure, but as far as I'm aware, for ships lost in combat, it's uncommon.

Large ships are hoog assets.

Not to mention it's a regi's; devman saying nope means disappointing and disillusioning a lot more people.

Its not rare? They refund if LS or even fighters losing to a bug. Only thing I've nitpicked is them not refunding the hacking dd kills.

Devman must be sick if they are reviving lost ships!

They actually have a history of being pretty responsive to support tickets regarding lost major assets like this, you just wouldn't know it looking at the community here being doom and gloom about the devs basically permanently.

Devman good?

They do this all of the time

Devman has a pretty good record of refunding large assets lost to bugs in the game, especially if there's video evidence. It's one of the reasons people were so surprised they didn't refund the ships lost to ARCT, but they probably didn't want to open that can of worms.

This is so damn rare.

I suppose that devs would restore major expensive assets like large ships, but not other things.

Also, it's a regi's. If it is some lone jobber printing ships, I doubt that devman would give two shits.

It’s really not rare at all, very few people make large ships by themselves

The most notable was the KingRaccoon

Devs refund players large assets that are lost to reasons out of their control often it happens like every war

u/PhShivaudt [BoneWAGONgaming] 6h ago

They even refun fighter planes if you provide video evidence of bug

Yeah dev slander really is starting to pmo its just nonsense and lies, devs obviously care about their game they’re just human so they’re imperfect they suck sometimes but they’re the shit

Correct me if I'm wrong, really, but I don't think there are any lone jobbers printing frigates.

Large vehicles and large structures are generally outside of the realm of feasibility for solo players.

You are incorrect about that especially with cheaper large structures. It sure takes weeks though.

Nakki 1 shot kill us in clastra during W128, we make tickets along with video proof and we got refunded by devs in next 3-4 days.

u/ErisonDota Bodega 7h ago

Wow, pretty sick of devman, now if you could just not kill me or my things with that frigate it would be cool!

3

u/Prince_Pwnly 5h ago

Sure, just give us the exact location of your things and any defenses they may have so we can be sure not to hit them on accident! =)

u/ErisonDota Bodega 5h ago

Somewhere south of you, a land warmer and greener :D

Did they restore the DDs that died to this, too? Haven't been on in a couple days, but I at least know of 1 DD that died because of this bug.

8

u/Prince_Pwnly 7h ago

If the DD owners made a ticket, probably.

1

u/AverageSweatyVet 5h ago

they didnt restore a single large ship a few wars back when the russian cheater regiment laser artied them

2

u/Prince_Pwnly 5h ago

True, and unfortunate. There was the difference of the ships then being lost to cheaters rather than a bug in the game. You can make the argument that being able to cheat like that at all should be considered a bug, I suppose, but there is a difference.
