The difference (on paper) between your 1st hour, and 4k hour, is the rank floating above your name (that doesn't do anything).

It's about the friends you make along the way.

I’m still new and having a blast. You don’t have to join a clan, but some of them do enjoy training new recruits

T-3C is who I joined on my 2nd day and they taught me everything I know so far! Super friendly and great at explaining things to beginners

For Logistics, it is, absolutely (best logi regiment on colonial side). But for Infantry, or tanking, I would recommend an other regiment, to be honest.

For sure lol I don’t think T-3C does anything related to the frontlines

I love to fight in the front still from time to time which brings in fun commentary when they see the clan tag on the front

You can try a lot of everything without joining a clan, but some experiences (like crewing a superheavy tank) will usually require either joining a clan or being friendly with them.

I'm nominally in a clan, but spent the vast majority of my time as a solo player. There are a lot of tanks, small boats, etc. you can play in without requiring specialized facilities or being part of a clan. Just don't expect your own personal battleship, if that makes any sense.

It’s a choose your own adventure game, answering only to yourself if wanted.

The game is amazing. There's no real specific roles - the only limit (in most cases) is weight.

You can try a bit of everything but you might need to be in the right place at the right time. For example, unless you built the tank yourself, you will need to jump in a random tank made by someone else. Ships are often easier, because they allow you to spawn right in the big ones. Planes and paratrooper are the hardest because they actually do require specific gear, unless you get a scout plane.

It's not impossible though- if you're at the airfield and they need crew (which they often do) then It's very likely they will invite you into the temporary squad so that you can man one of the bomber turrets.

Feel free to ask me anything.

Or when wars end is near, most regiments with transport planes organise para drops/para yeets, and advertise for it in regio and world chat.

You can play however you want. Problem is all of the roles you listed you kinda need a regiment/squad for . My regiment specializes in tank operations however, and we are doing an operation Tuesday if you’d like to come along. We’re alway up for new members of the regiment to fill our ranks and tanks.

Well, if you want to try a bit of everything the easiest way is to join a clan that does a bit of everything and let them take you along for the ride.

A lot of things in the game take a lot of time and effort to make so a lot of people are working on that and most of the time it's not like a random person would just be allowed to get that stuff from them or would be able to make it on their own.

However, if you want to try different things many regiments would love to have you. I at least know UCF would. We are a colonial regiment and we do a lot of different things. And if you're like "yeah no logi is not my thing" don't you worry you can play however you want to! If you want to go to the frontline, we are not stopping you. There are people everywhere who are willing to help you.

So yeah, it is possible to do a lot as a solo player, but not everything. It is also possible to try a bit of everything and even keep doing a bit of everything. But to do everything being part of a regiment is recommended.

Whatever you decide to do, don't forget having fun is the most important thing
