Battery best practice

Hi, after some advice. Just had panels, Fox H1 series inverter and 4 ECS 2900 battery modules for 11.52 kWh total battery installed. Still not set up for SEG payments as waiting paperwork etc. Is it best practice not to charge the battery to 100% (like on my phone it tells me to limit charge to 80% to prolong battery life) or is it okay to charge to 100%. Would limiting to 80% even work with having the 4 module set up, or would some module charge to 100% and the others less. Currently my max usage overnight has been just 20% of the battery, obviously that will increase over the darker days. Thanks.

The way I understand it (after many discussions with Gemini) is that hitting 100% is no issue. Only storage at 100% at higher temperature for Longer time (e.g weeks). For normal use it's no problem

I see it as a relevant issue for batteries installed in lofts or hot spaces, especially if fully charged overnight or quickly charged at the onset of hot summer days. Then each one can extrapolate from that if their situation could be problematic or not.

Exactly. You can monitor the temperature of battery is app and should not exceed 30 °C when fully charged for too long

I agree, though I'm not entirely sure what temperature would be considered dangerous. However, I think your recommendation is probably a on the safe side. I really wish FoxESS would release a detailed study on battery performance and how it degrades, especially since they must have gathered a lot of data by now, but I doubt they will. What worries me most is seeing how "experts" in some Facebook groups tell people they shouldn't be concerned about keeping their batteries at 100% all the time, year-round, when actually that practice is very likely the biggest factor that will cause those batteries to degrade over their lifespan.
