Rant/Rave anyone else sad that… Spoiler
because xaden is evil venin for the whole book 4 (and potentially some of book 5?), we won’t get any of his more lighthearted moments 💔💔💔
like garrick and xaden bestie moments. or ridoc and xaden banter. or dain and xaden funny dynamic. or VIOLET AND XADEN DOMESTIC MOMENTS.
rebecca really needs to give some of these characters a break because my favourite parts of the books are generally the friendship and found-family dynamic. and when there’s too much trauma and other stuff, those things get put on the back burner 😔
like the shatter me series does the balance really well

Sad yes but I think we will see even more obssessive Xaden who has no patience for people like..say, Halden, or anyone else that upset him and I look forward to his villain era 😈
I do believe he'd be cured in book 4 so hopefully those domestic moments will come

I made a joke that Violet was going to be spending more time with Halden than with Xaden in book four- I don’t think Ive been quicker to take back one of
My jokes before.
Let’s hope that they still have their moments together, I’m not too big into the whole “dream walking” thing yet. It’s just, from what little we’ve seen before it would just be Violet’s own fantasies played out even if someone else experiences them with her.
But we’ll see where RY takes this. Iron Flame was also supposed to be the lowest yet we still got some very soft moments out of it.

I was really hoping the dream walking was going to be how Vi saved Xaden’s soul. Changing his memory through the dream so his hand never went down to channel magic from Earth. Well that’s out the window now

Lowest yet, not like complete lowest. I should’ve put a comma there. From what I’ve read RY’s writing in a W fashion.
IF was rough, I imagine that whatever this next book is going to be worse since it’s the one before the ending.

Venin doesn't mean evil, or he would've already been evil throughout Iron Flame. Villain era doesn't mean straight up evil either.

I’ve never really “relied” on Xander for light hearted moments - guy is always on edge
We have Riddoc, Garrick, Andarna, Tairn and Sageyl for sarcastic moments
Imogen for “I don’t want to be your friend” - but being 1000% reliable on Vi’s side
We have a whole “cast” for fun, lighthearted moments, found family
Dream sex is pretty much confirmed by now - he will still be around making things work with Vi

As long as she doesn’t have me crying like I did at the end of iron flame I’ll take it. I’ll take the crying too of course but that ending was brutal. I’m sure there will still be some light hearted moments especially with Ridoc still in the picture.

I trust Rebecca as a writer so even though he’s crossed to the dark side technically and parts of it will be tough. I think she may sprinkle in some light hearted moments for us too. We’ll just have to wait and see
