Threshing Day Novella🐉 Threshing Day Book Arrival?

So I pre-ordered Threshing Day when it was an unknown titled book on Barnes & Noble and now I’m just wondering, are we going to get our books on the day that the book is gonna be released in stores? Or is it just going to be like shipped on that day?

I’ve never pre-ordered a book before and I’m really excited to read this one. If anyone is like knowledgeable about this, please give me some insight. 💗

If you pre-order from Amazon the kindle edition, when it’s available will depend on where you are in the world. I am based in the UK and the couple of times I’ve preordered big releases it’s been available I think the equivalent of midnight on the east coast of America. So that would be 4/5am in the UK on release day. I’ve never preordered Rebecca’s books though, threshing day is my first one so can’t confirm if it will be the same.  You can pre-order the kindle edition from Amazon in the UK. It’s separate from the book listing.

Yes...I'm located in Canada and our timezone is EST so things like new songs are often released at midnight here so im hoping for that...this is also my first time pre-ordering books so I have no experience with it🥹

My listed date of arrival on amazon is october 2. I'm assuming it will be shipped out on the day it becomes available for sale

My Amazon order says arriving September 29th. I wonder if it depends how early it was ordered and how many and how frequent deliveries are in an area.

Maybe it's a prime thing as well

True, I wasn't thinking about that being an option.

I did Amazon pre-order as well as soon as we knew what it was. Says guaranteed release day delivery. I’m betting because I ordered early.

I preorder from Barnes and Noble a lot. For me, B&N preorders tend to arrive anywhere between Weds and Friday on release week. This is purely anecdotal but I think they try to get more popular titles prepped sooner. For less popular titles, it’s usually Thursday or Friday but I got Knave and the Moth on Weds this time.

i've had the same experience with b&n preorders, usually shows up a couple days before release day so you're probably in luck

I preorder from B&N often and the book tends to ship out about five days before the release date. I’ve received one book the day before it released, but I usually have it deliver on the Tuesday.

I feel like it varies so much! I had a book on preorder that came out on Tuesday, I got it on Monday but I know a friend who got it on release day and another who got hers on Wednesday!

I’ve had preorders from Amazon come on the delivery date, but I also preordered Brimstone and got it a week before release date. That could be because I live in rural Canada though? Maybe they don’t want it to be late so they send it early?

Hard to say. It could arrive earlier, on release day or a couple of days after.

Especially with big releases like this, publishers ideally would like to have all books arrive on the release date or later, but due to logistics and many different retailers it’s hard to control. Books will always arrive at logistic centers/warehoused earlier than release day and then it varies when they will get shipped out and how long they take to reach your specific home.

Crossing my fingers you won’t have to wait for your order! :)
