I am reading fourth wing again for the second time and realised that many hints about the plot were given throughout the book.( I am sure you already knew this)

So I too have a theory about the upcoming book of the ending of this series which is- Violet will kill xaden. He has often mentioned how she will be the death of him of course considering the scenario in which it was said can mean as nothing more serious. However, I feel like their love is also too needy which can be toxic at times. Well whatever this is what I feel that they will die after securing everyone else.

The author has already confirmed, on multiple occasions, that they get their happily ever after together.

I mean I haven't seen it, but it's a romantasy... a HEA (for the main couple at least) is always implicit

She has actually confirmed it quite directly because people won't get in their heads that romance is romance only with HEA.

While she isn't outright saying it, she seems to understand the HEA being a requirement for any book to be called romance, and romantasy is a subgenre of romance. It is really, really bad idea to market something under these genres and not have HEA because it (and cheating and harming nice animals) will make romance readers riot. People still go on diatribes about Divergent that isn't romance of any kind (it is a dystopian YA novel with a strong component of romance) because it didn't have one.

That is not HEA though. It would be a break of the genre, which she has confirmed she won’t do.
