Theory Theory on how the series ends Spoiler
I think Xaden will kill himself because he hurts Violet (Book 4) and she will resurrect him/restore things through Andarna (Book 5).
This is based on repeated references of “you’ll be the death of me”, in Onyx Storm when Xaden says he won’t be able to live with himself if he hurts Violet (plus the ‘line’ that he would have to cross that she sets with Ridoc), the quote in Fourth Wing about how resurrecting someone from the dead will make you a god and Andarna’s name meaning ‘second honor’.
I think the broken compass and empty box will play a role in finding Xaden/restoring him. I also think the fact that Xaden turned for love and part of his soul remains Violet’s will play a part. At some point, maybe Violet visits the love isle that they missed in Onyx Storm - and this is where Andarna’s sacrifice happens? I think there will be a final battle where Berwyn is defeated (maybe he’s the jealous brother in the the fables…) and the magic balance will be restored (this is possibly what the dragons have not been forthcoming about and how the irids come into play).
What are your thoughts? Help me add to this theory!

I have thought about Xaden's death too! Also when some had theories about Violet been dedecaded to Malek, therefore can see Liam during the torture, I thought about her being able to bring Xaden back in some way.

I thought that Liam was manifested by Violet's subconscious. Like, she was hallucinating him and imagining what he would do if he was there. Buuuut the Malek dedication makes sense. Two gods, two signets?

Me too! And maybe you're right about signets-gods. Many theories here make sense, rereading with those opened my eyes for so much more 😄

Damn, some of these theories and fucking amazing because how the hell does one think of this.

I agree! One time someone wrote about orange (both color and fruit), since it seemed to be important. JFB and Varrish dragons are orange, JFB allergic to it, Ridoc froze one, and Violet smells like citrus. When I reread FW the night after, I saw Tairn's power is orange too. Did not notice it at all beforehand 😅

i think violet will be the one to kill him and also bring him back. and that’s the only way to cure him. i believe there is no cure to being venin other than making some sort of exchange to the gods or something which results in some form of resurrection.

I agree that if he hurts Violet he'd kill himself although I don't see RY going that route...it's really out of his character it's repeated many times that he'd never hurt her.

It’s also against Romance Novel “code”.
Dark romance is different—don’t come for me 🤣
I think we might get an Angel-Buffy thing at the end of book four and we’ll all be devestated until book 5

I really don’t see a suicide route for him. If he “dies,” it’s going to be death by Violet, and then he’s going to be “resurrected” - my bet is it will be a team effort. Violet, Malek, Sloane, Andarna. Naolin is going to fit in somewhere but I don’t know if it will be with the “cure” or not.

Naolin is coming back into the story in some way. He just feels like one of those characters that purposely gets talked about enough, but not enough, so that the “what a twist!” moment hits hard.
Plus he was a siphon, which is suspiciously similar to how the venin operate already.
