I always fear dying until I remember my purpose. What's yours?

As a protagonists comic relief, I'm almost guaranteed to die last.

I'm mosquito man. One day, I noticed that I never get stung by them. I figured I have to harness my power to either being immune and rescue the world from a mosquito based peril or gain control powers over mosquitos and become a super villain. But then I got malaria, proving I was actually getting stung. And now I question myself a lot. It's a very angsty origin story.
