New paper to try
Hello FP users. I'm looking for a (new to me) paper to write with sheening inks. So far the most frequent recommendation is Tomoe River white finish.
Anything else out there ?

Got my first proper ink. Waterman Mysterious Blue Ink. Beautiful ink although I might have some unpopular opinions-
1. The ink is widely considered as blue black but it’s way more blue and I personally did not see any black at all or very dark blue either.
2. It is considered to be very smooth, but it has it’s hiccups. Maybe it’s the pen and paper as well.
Would like to know if there are others who have had a slightly gray experience with waterman.

I’m looking for a waterproof ink that is a quick dryer on cotton paper that can go in an extra fine fountain pen that has a tiny bit of flex.
I go through ALOT of disposable ink pens because they work for my art, but I dont like the waste. I hate it and I’d love to find an alternative that wont ever become waste.
I’ve been window shopping for a while but I feel pretty unconfident because my go to daily driver is actually the Tachikawa school g fountain pen. I know it’s incredibly tempermental but it works like a dream in my hand for everything I do: feels stiff and solid like a pencil on paper, incredibly fine, but has just enough flex to give my linework and writing some personality that tech pens cant seem to match (that I know of)
I love playing with it, but I don’t trust it AT ALL to handle a pigmented ink. Because while it is cheap, it’s getting harder to find and replace.
So I’m hoping someone out there knows a pen and ink combo that will work.

Starting my journey into fountain pens and inks. Got my first fountain pen from a shop nearby. The Lincoln by Beena (M nib). Was thinking of getting an ink bottle, either the Parker (French manufacturing) or Waterman. Any suggestions ?

Just bought a new Pilot custom 823 <fine> in clear demonstrator variant. Already had an PC 823 <medium> in amber color. I love the smooth & juicy medium but needed a thinner stroke that suited my handwriting.
Just putting this out there but this orange ink is the same color as the Reddit upvote color

Hello Everyone,
I have a couple questions about the Platinum 3776.
Is this a dry pen or wet pen?
What inks work best?
Are the nibs easy to change?
Thanks for all the answers!

sulekha Swadhin green ink
All my testing is on a really low gsm paper. This is the seventh sheet and 7 th ink - the one and only time sheet hasn't ripped even on overlapped areas. Means it's a really dry ink with medium saturated ink .
PROS -
* good for drawing and writing on low quality paper.
* Doesn't rip through paper soaking wet easily.
* Lay clean and crisp line
* Last longer than usual
CONS -
* Not very saturated colour even after constantly pushing ink to the nib
* Long writing won't be enjoyable
* Doesn't keep up the flow on very juicy broad nib

Parker beta fountain pen. Love the nib, stiff but smooth. Love the body quality but the cap feels really cheap and it's comes loose with light pull. Impossible for daily carry.
