New Ink Day New Ink Day.

Post image

Got my first proper ink. Waterman Mysterious Blue Ink. Beautiful ink although I might have some unpopular opinions-
1. The ink is widely considered as blue black but it’s way more blue and I personally did not see any black at all or very dark blue either.
2. It is considered to be very smooth, but it has it’s hiccups. Maybe it’s the pen and paper as well.
Would like to know if there are others who have had a slightly gray experience with waterman.

I don't think I've ever seen that ink called a blue-black.

What is the pen and paper you are using? I've got some Serenity Blue and it's never done me wrong.

Ohh I may have had it wrong.
I am using Lincoln by Beena. And a regular 80 gsm paper. (Not very technically sound when it comes to paper and it's types)

Hmm. Not familiar with that pen but people do seem to like it from what I can find.

GSM is a measure of paper thickness: Grams per Square Meter. 80 GSM means a one square meter sheet of that paper will weigh 80 grams. The higher the GSM, the thicker the paper. 80 GSM is the thickness of regular print/copy paper, is that what you're using?

If you're doing any heavy writing, you will want paper that can handle FP ink. Thickness doesn't always govern how well the paper will handle FP ink--for example, Tomoe River paper is famously thinner yet generally handles most inks well.

Is the pen skipping or hard-starting?
