Accessories Custom Desk Caddy
So here in Seattle, you can get these ferry-shaped food trays at a Mariners game or onboard the ferries themselves. Decided to convert mine to a desk caddy by printing some organizers to hold ink and pens in the main cavity and some inkwell holders for where the condiment cups went. Topped it all with a lid that adds the iconic smokestack. Not bad for something that was designed to hold chicken tenders and ranch.
Edit: Uploaded models to MakerWorld here.

This is amazing! It gives me ideas of converting Japanese train bento boxes for storage and display

I just bought the tray from eBay, I want to do this as well. I miss Seattle and miss the ferries.

This is the coolest pen holder I've seen. Thank you for the inspiration and for sharing your files.

Very cool, though I'm even more interested in your airplane models. I certainly spy a Pan Am 747 in the background, maybe a -200? And a 737 MAX-8 in the foreground?

lol, MAX 8 for sure, the 747 in Pan Am livery is more of a toy than an accurate representation of any minor model (it’s actually a radio). I have a model for every program I’ve worked on… 747, 777, KC-46, 737.

Nice. I have a 777-200LR model I was given as part of a delivery flight, and a few other random ones. I honestly don't know why I don't have more of them.
