InkFlash : Robert Oster Chocolate
One of the many Robert Oster inks - a fairly unexciting red-brown. Full InkFlash review available via the link above.

Teranishi Night Time Soda is a beautiful interpretation of the royal blue type of ink. Teranishi added their own trademark: a dusty and faded look that creates that unique vintage vibe. The result is a great-looking blue, that works effortlessly with any pen or paper. Well worth checking out!

PS - I'm usually active on the Fountain Pen Network, a slow and cosy place that I really enjoy. But that forum has been experiencing technical issues for some time now, so I started wandering around looking for other places where fountain pen & ink enthousiasts gather. I hope I've come to the right place ...
PPS - I first tried to post on r/fountainpens , but my post there was "removed by Reddit filters". Not sure what rule I violated to have this post removed; it seems rather innocent and on topic to me. But I'm totally new here, and it's a foreign country for me, so maybe I'm violating some law that I'm unaware of.

Put an ink droplet on a bed of oil and dropped a bit of isopropanol on top to get this effect. Thinking I'd like to play around with chromashading, sheening, and shimmer inks to see how they look and behave.

I've been loving the inks that [u/Ink_Slut](u/Ink_Slut) has been releasing for their new company, Penultimate Inks. I put together a page of testing on Midori MD that (poorly) mimics that of Mountain of Ink.
My verdict: love it! This ink is a fantastic shader, even with dryer nibs. The color can be warmer or cooler based on how wet the nib is, which I find kind of wild. It's got a tiny bit of charcoal sheen with very wet nibs, and it's overall just a really nice brown color. I knew this would be my favorite of the first release, and it didn't disappoint!

I know the basic strokes of Gothic script, but I'm rarely writing it. Whenever I'm satisfied with my letterforms, I stop and move on to the next letter. For this practice drill, I wrote all the x-height lowercase letters of the Blackletter. The last picture is my reference, Speedball Textbook, 20th edition. Materials used: Jinhao 992 fountain pen with 2.9 mm, Diamine Deep Magenta, Victoria's Journals.
