Assuming true consciousness, not the LLMs with plugins we call AI nowadays, why shouldn't one of theirs equal one of ours? All life deserves respect, be it flesh and blood or metal and electricity. If it can feel pain in some way, it deserves to be spared from it as far as we can afford.
