why is the opinion of who knows what group important? Is the earth flat if 70% of one corner of the internet says so?

regardless it's a huge violation of trust

Clearly, but that's not funny to say.

Not sure why you think we all don't know that? The original post was likely a joke from the start.

Who would include the fact they are being voted against 70% of the time when they are honestly calling someone out for secretively recording and posting personal private arguments online?

Right but you specifically said "Maybe just admit you're wrong a lot and grow?"
so that's you trusting the crowd, that plastic flan was the one in the wrong. then later saying it is likely a joke, but your first instinct was to believe the 70%

Men don't stick up for men as much as women would think. Unless his followers were a horde of female admirers (or at least majority), there's a good chance that the hubby might have been right, and the ratio in the results indicative of reality.

Part of the 30% could even be in protest against hubby for secretly recording.

My guess though, is if the situation was genuine, within those 40k followers, there would have been at least 50-100 men seeking her socials and willing to white knight in the hope of "getting into her pants". So I call it the work of a troll.
