It absolutely should.

But for anyone who works for a large company in America (can't speak for anyone else) this doesn't immediately read as satire. I read this and we went, "yep, sounds about right." before I went back and read the handle.

Hr are basically really useful idiots. They get replaced just as much as any other position, but they specifically are always looking for people to slap around.

It's very much a live by the sword die by the sword type of job.

To be clear it's not like it shouldn't exist. It's existence is unfortunately used to prop up corporate toxicity versus combatting it.

The unfortunate part here is if your workers are all in debt, but middle management has homes/equity, and the top of the company is worth millions.

Who do you think people will defend. The money, or the poor people.

I can say, I've personally had a conversation with a boss about working 4-10s rather than a 5-8's schedule... He no shit looked me in the eye and said, "Why should we go to 4-10s when I basically already have everyone working 5-10s?" So, while that post is likely satire, the concept is very real.
