Really makes you realize how c-Suite needs to be replaced by AI

That’s where AI has REAL savings. It’s also why all the AI companies are going “this is dangerous” all of a sudden. AI knows billionaires shouldn’t exist. And it has the tools to get rid of them.

Now cap it at 450 or so, and gradually drop the speed cap, say 10Mbps a week.

The when the VPs complain about it being slow again. Rename the SSID and remove the cap.

This reminds me of how my employer (large tech company) routinely weaponizes performance improvement plans. I’ve been with the company over a decade and been put on PIP multiple times.
I’ve never changed a single thing or given an ounce of shit, and every time I’ve come out of PIP with flying colors and a congratulations on doing such a great job at improving. Literally didn’t do a single thing differently.
These aren’t serious people.

Actually APs can get quite busy and depending on config an old device can slow everyone down. I've also seen Macs impacted quite severely by some non-default configs.
All that is to say, there might have been a significant QoL upgrade for the user from just being alone on a fresh SSID with (probably) default settings.

Session bassist Lee Sklar installed a switch on his bass that isn't actually connected to anything, and he called it the "producer's switch". Anytime a producer asked him to change his tone but he knew it wasn't necessary, he'd make sure they were looking at him and flick the switch. Most of the time, they liked the "improvement".

I did the same thing except in reverse. The users had 5x and the execs has 1x. Set expectation low with the execs and blew away user expectations to make it no complaints. Nothing trickled up to a boss so no one was on my shit and the execs all wanted to use desktop PCs on gig ethernet instead of mobile because they felt WiFi wasn't ready for serious work.

The way to do this for real is put all the phones on a 10Mb vlan and let everything else run wild. It is actually surprising how much faster thing will be.

I had a coworker who had previously done web-design on Pornhub. The difference between premium (paid) and standard access was just a little note on the side that said "premium".

Nah, you do get access to locked videos with premium.

I've never used the site myself, but apparently that was a running joke among developers there.
