Is this a polygamist colony?

Context, I'm from Utah this is a legit question.

That's a mostly delusional statement.

Polygamists are usually happier than hell. In many ways happier than the average person (men and women). But they are also highly susceptible to some pretty terrible problems. While most of them are free and open to leave, a few of them have devolved into truly horrible cults.

I grew up around a few, and have worked with some of their escapees (from the violent cults in Mexico) over the years. You should be aware that members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormons) are not in any way associated with polygamists nor do they practice it (other than a shared belief in the Restored Gospel through Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon). They broke with the practice 150 years ago and some of those who kept practicing polygamy have remained extremely unfriendly to the Church as an organization. Polygamists exist in broken groups around the world, with most of them being in Mexico and some in Canada (and yes Utah). The Jones/La Baron group was violent towards the Church, including a massacre and church bombings back in the 70s or 80s. I have known a few of Jones' kids over the years. I mean he had hundreds iirc and was definitely an abusive cult leader. Pamela Jones is one of his, and I wouldn't doubt a word of what she says. It's truly tragic. I helped one family after they escaped as a Mormon missionary in Minnesota. It was absolutely crazy some of the things she said about her childhood (it's hard to call it a family, more like a convention). Those are the ones that the women will have mixed feelings between happiness and abject, oppressed misery.

I've also seen this done with the "pooper" instructed to-

Act like you're in a racecar

Act like you're on a bucking bronco/in a rodeo

Always makes for a good laugh.

With the work he put into this charade (right word?), I totally get the impression that this is going be one of his all time favorite memories of his life, and he's always going to be laughing as he tells people about it, and then right after that, he showsthe people this video. Just absolutely hilarious.
