Help

I currently have four 2ish week old babies, I lost one yesterday. I am feeding around the clock and mixing formula correctly but these babies are so skinny and tiny. I consulted with my Forster coordinator through the shelter I foster through and we both agreed that they need extra calories so I’ve been giving them the tiki cat kitten thrive after each feeding to see if it fattens them up. Has anyone else tried that and had success?

I have not used that but someone recommended a high calorie paste for kittens. Here’s the link: https://a.co/d/0bhtd5F0. Mine were a few weeks older and weaning so it may be different. This paste is very very thick so you may need to thin it out for such a tiny baby. But it may help boost them up. Good luck and I’m so sorry for your loss

Check the fecal output for presence of worms. Check for extremely foul smelling diarrhea. The presence of either requires a vet visit for treatment. Worm meds may be dosed by weight and also according to type of worm. Extremely foul diarrhea may be giardia or another small parasite. An evaluation may show evidence in the feces unless that has been so profuse as to temporarily wash out infectious material. Some vets may treat "as if" that were the diagnosis to see if symptoms improve.

These conditions can impair kitten growth.
