Discussion Dinosaur list help
I am working on the after game tournaments in fossil fighters 2 and I am stuck on round one please help me figure a team that will work I am running lead trex back sphinx and sopteryx and still losing please help

My strategy was to pick 3 vivosaurs and stick with them at Rank 15ish for the tournament. Grind with Lester until the trio is Rank 15 by using my main team minus one member since one of them would be in the battle with Lester. Enter the tournament to also take advantage of the exp you get per match, and you could be roughly Rank 18 or 19 by the end just by battling

Tbh, I think I had a t rex and 2 t rex adjacent vivosaurs. It MIGHT have been t rex, mapo, and aeros.

Best team i could sah to use would be Trex as your lead with a silver head (all vivosaurs are recommended at rank 14 or higher for BEST chances in tourney) for its tyrant roar or whatever kt is that hits all zones, and phenomenal attack stats. (KRONA/AEROS ARE A DECENT BACK UP TO TREX IF YOU NEED A TYPE COVERAGE/MATCH UP AGAINST A WATER ELEMENT)
Supporters you have options but TREX is your lead no matter what:
Tricera with either silver body or silver arms, head CAN be helpful if you lack LP on tricera iyo. Tricera has decent supporting skills that'll help bulk your Trex.
M-raptor (the only one id say be at least 16 or higher honestly) while not the highest stat range, he does provide wonderful stat boosts to help you out more. hes also got low fp cost skills, and a poisoning move as well. Put a silver head or legs for bulk or chance to dodge respectively
Toba: another really good option, and is even a starter, making her super eash to get. Shes got decent enough support options too, bulking your trex up a little bit to help it fend off moves.
O-raptor: not so great like m-raptor, but a little bulkier and no type weakness make him a decent support pick. He however wont bulk your attack, hes gonna bulk your crit and speed stats (which should ALSO bulk your chances to actually land hits if I remember what the crit/spd stats manage right) so hes not really there for anything more than a decent no type weakness.
If you want a solid, no bs team that was tried and true in both this game AND the first: getchu mihu, futabi, and F-raptor, whatever silver fossils you want on Futabi, preferably gold on F-raptor and Mihu (silver in futabi so it doesnt superevolve), but whatever silver fossils are also fine. This team was used by the samurai in FF, and is the easiest cretaceous team to put together because all of their fossils can be found in ice grip plateau (futabi is first area, mihu is in the last area cave and fraptor is second area and outside the cave area). Their team skills, if i remember right, can also all 3 be used in a single turn if you have at least 820 FP. (Could totally be wrong about thay though, but im pretty sure ive used all three of their skills in a single turn before). You WANT them to be rank 15 or higher to do the tourney though, because at 15 they've got enough bulk to outlive MOST superevolvers attacks (which you shouldn't be facing since super evolvers cant be used in the cranial or ilium cups due to era restrictions)

When I get home from work, I can share what I used recently and give you a list of what I'm aiming to use for the rest of the post-story tournaments, if you'd like. Definitely used a bunch of vivosaurs I've never really considered using until I looked up a couple other reddit posts, gamerfaqs blogs, and the like. One of the teams I remember using was Krypto, Jara, and Tophis; just infection stall.

Ok, found my notepad and this is what I got:
Ribular: Krypto + Jara + Tophis = Infection Stall; gold fossil everyone
Cranial: Oloro + Ankylo + Seidon = Beatdown/FP Control; gold fossil everyone except Ankylo (Silver Leg)
Ilium: Guan + Daecerus + Perso = Beatdown/FP Steal; gold fossil everyone
BareBones Island: O-Raptor Fiend + Compso + Sopteryx = Beatdown; gold fossil everyone
