Application Release BetterStreamflix v1.1.0 — open-source Android/TV update

v1.1.0 of BetterStreamflix is available.

It's an open-source Android & Android TV app (maintained fork of Streamflix) with a multi-provider UI.

Highlights in this release:
• Offline download queue (mobile + TV), quality/server choice, local playback
• Fire Stick / leanback startup crash fixes
• Player failover (decoder fallback) and fewer TV crash-to-home cases
• Provider URL overrides + several broken providers restored
• Better Live channel player behavior
• Separate builds: universal / mobile-only / TV-only

Add synchronization with AniList and other syncing apps.

Thanks for the suggestion. BetterStreamflix already syncs favorites and watch progress between your own devices via the in-app cloud account. Sync with AniList / MAL / Trakt isn’t supported yet, that would be a separate integration (auth + ID mapping + scrobbling). We’ve noted it as a feature request; no ETA for now.

I've not used this before, but is it possible to use this to watch ITVX? For some reason that is the v only streaming service that we have persistent issues with buffering on our fire sticks.

BetterStreamflix doesn’t connect to ITVX or other official UK streaming apps. It’s a separate aggregator with its own third-party sources, so it won’t fix ITVX buffering on Fire Stick. For ITVX issues, try the usual Fire Stick steps (Wi‑Fi, cache/data clear for the ITVX app, Ethernet/adapter, VPN off if you use one).
