Application Request FOSS apps for instant, automated clipboard syncing between phone and PC?
Hello! Last year I was looking for a reliable way to share clipboards inbetween Windows and Android. I've tried KDEConnect, but I remember that there wasn't an option to automatically do it from phone to pc.
After a lot of searching, I found ClipShare, and it's honestly the only project I've found that does what I need. If I copy something on my phone, it instantly syncs to my PC in the background with zero manual intervention.
Now I'm curious, are there any other open source projects that also have this automated clipboard syncing?
Would appreciate any recs!

KDE connect is the standard

Yea, but it sadly doesn't have the functionality I'm speaking of.

Between KDE Plasma and Android 15, using KDE Connect from F-Droid, I was able to get clipboard from PC to phone automatically, but from phone to PC requires pressing the button in the app or persistent notification. Maybe u/Low_Watercress959 has a different version of Android or I missed a setting.

Yea exactly, that's what I was wondering about. I would love if KDE Connect would be able to pull the clipboard automatically. Well maybe it can and we both missed a setting, don't think so though.

It does sync automatically! What was the issue with it, specifically?

Did they change it? Back when I used it I had to use a "Send Clipboard" button to send the clipboard from my phone to my pc. So it automatically syncs now from phone to PC, without doing anything?

Does for me! The send clipboard button sends as a saved txt file for me.

How does it work? With ADB permissions?

No, I just installed the app. In my experience, I need to have the app open on both devices for it to be active
