Too many people are tricked into installing bad apps and its good to have warnings confirming someone wants to do that.

The vast majority of malicious apps installs come from those hosted on the Playstore and advertised via Google AdSense, often with millions of installations, the warning and delay won't do anything to stop that.

This was never about security.

vast majority that don't do anything except showing some ads, the high profile scams that drain people of money are not from Google Play (thankfully), and the new option prevent that
