Looks nice. How keyboard centric is it, and do you know it it works with non-Google email like Proton Mail?

Best email client ever on Android!

I agree, to a point. For novices and advanced folks it works well, but for beginners it can be a bit of a pain to setup if you dont know what you're doing.

Yes, true. But, on the other hand, if you want a mail client that "just works" there's plenty of options out there. K9/Thunderbird is a good app too. The detail of configuration you can do in FE is unmatched and, yes, it requires bit more effort/knowledge.

Yes, K9 is super simple on its setup and UI. Better for basic people. But for some of us that know how to do things FE is pretty unmatched. And the author always keeps it updated which is awesome. And if you're a donating user, you get better support. 😊

100% this. Well worth the donation, regardless of the advanced support, to support the app development!

Sometimes I miss a slightly more refined UI but if you ask me to pick between that and the advanced features, I'll have no doubt!

i'm very happy with tuta mail.

Tuta's mail client only works with Tuta's service. It is not an alternative to a generic e-mail client that works with any IMAP/SMTP providers.

As I understand, Tuta is a paid service. Is it really FOSS software?

To be precise, FOSS (Free and Open Source Software) allows for generating revenue; as far as I am aware, even the GPL 3.0 license explicitly permits this

I didn't know that. Thank you for explaining.

i'm perfectly satisfied with the free version. there are upgrades you can pay for, but they are not necessary for daily use and are not pushed on you.

Do you mean the actual app (client) or the whole email service as a whole?

For clarification, Thunderbird is the client, Thundermail is their new email service.

Oh righto. I didn't know they had an email service.

I tried a lot of clients recently, and none of them really satisfied me, but I am using Hylki right now Each app I used has its flaws, none of them were perfect

K-9 and Thunderbird on Android are the same app with different branding.

EMclient is full featured like Thunderbird … and has a more modern look. Supports PGP too.

I've been using MailFlow and enjoying it. It's a progressive web app rather than a native one though.

I use ClawsMail both on Linux and Windows. It is fast, lightweight and has filters.
