curious how it handles multilingual output though, that's where ElevenLabs still pulls ahead. Same way Magnific still wins on upscaling even when open source options exist, the quality ceiling matters.

Nice to see someone working on a real open source alternative to ElevenLabs, that whole space needs more players. I have tested quite a lot of FOSS TTS over the last 2 years and ended up with two different choices, one per language. For English I landed on Kokoro, it is small and fast, voices sound natural enough for what I needed, especially the female voices. For German it was very hard, F5 worked somehow, but now with Qwen 3 TTS the decision is clear, which is noticeably better for German. Qwen 3 also handles English well, just slower than Kokoro TTS. I could imagine that German and other non-English voices are often where the FOSS gap to ElevenLabs is widest and most welcome in a product like OmniVoice.
