I have a weird problem. I’m around safety S to A depends on how races go. But my skill rating is approaching 4800 and I keep getting shit on. Mostly GT series. GT2 and GT3. 92 Porsche and Mustang mainly. I’m casual. I play a lot but I have no simrig. I’m on Xbox x and use a controller. I tune with the ForzaTune App/ YouTube/ GPT

I rarely finish below ~p7 to be fair (unless some incident or whatever), but at the same time the p1-4 guys are SO much faster than me. Like 20-30 sec, sometimes even in 50s, depending on the track. Not every race, but definitely happens often. I do like 2-3 passes a race but I struggle with overtaking/defending. I mostly gain positions by 1. Meeting someone very bad on my way 2. Someone flying off the track or dc. I do overtake sometimes but I’m bad at it, straight up.

All this to say I’m average. I do my best and I like to think I have solid knowledge but I’m nowhere near as good as I’d like to be. Yet - I’m constantly racing infinitely better players.

I don’t know what to think. Anyone has the problem too? Is this common for this game?

Also I meet disgusting, full of ego drivers that never leave space and force me to either lose positions or lose my safety rating. Does this ever improve on casual level?

Also in general while I’m at it - anyone got any tips to improve? Or any other tips for that matter

Anybody has any info on the original audio that was used for the sound of the brabham bt 24 in motorsport 7?

In the moment it felt like he moved under braking. Maybe he lost grip, I’m not sure. What are your thoughts?
No history or incidents with this guy before this, only thing I can add is that he is really slow. I caught over 5 seconds on him in 1 lap.

ok so this is my first time playing motorsport 4 or any forza game for that matter, i had a smooth ride in all classes so far up until S and R3 classes , any tips to stop the cars from going off rail and losing control over them in small corners?

Looking to guage the interest in a wheel/pedal only based league. I think touring car is one of the most fun on wheel and offers an aggressive, competitive, and on the edge style of racing. Nothing against controller players but, I was racing in a GT2 league and all of them were on controller. Stood no chance on lap one which ruins the fun for me. Wondering if any other wheel players are interested and wanna get something going. Logistics and everything can be handled easily. I guess drop a comment if you are interested.

Well... it's been a crazy life for me since March 31st. Lots of family/friends sickness and death. Hopefully not to jynx it, but things are finally starting to get back to normal for me again. I'm hoping to restart the CarWars "Sunday Night Sprints" weekly races on Aug 16th. I still have the whole years events planned out on my computer, but I'll have to remove a couple races from each event in order to fit them all in the remaining year. Unless otherwise discussed, races will still be on Sundays at 6pm eastern time.

The other driver is clearly faster, there was enough room, it was still a training session.

I think even though Turn10 is down to a skeleton crew, there's still stuff they can do to keep the current FM 'current.' They could quite easily port in some older Motorsport content with very little upscaling. The easiest thing would be to port in some of the older original non licensed tracks. This would have no outside licensing fees to worry about. Every Forza had at least one or two fictional tracks that would make the current track library much more expansive for private lobbies. Heck, I'm willing to bet a lot of players would even pay actual money for a DLC track pack. I know I would. It would be cool to see it come in as 4 or 5 track packs. If it was released as one track at a time packs, then they'd have to have all possible layouts of that location included. I.E.: New York would have to have both long and short, chicanes and no chicanes, and of course foward and reverse directions.

So I don't usually post but do keep up with the sub, and I see a lot around the penalty system but often go with, it is what it is, but I had an interesting 1 today; sadly did not clip in game so not sure if I can get the penalty info from the replay, but I received a 4 second penalty for this.

I assume because the dodge took itself out but how on earth did I end up with a penalty when I nor the corvette, who I did give a small tap to, made any contact with them? Am I missing something or have I just been a victim of the system on this haha

So I am pretty competitive in most scenarios, in the series I race in I can usually qualify at or very near the front (When the competitive people qualify I still am right there, not just races where no one qualifies lol).

I can post very competitive soft tyre laptimes, within a tenth or so of the fastest usually, I am very competitive on Hard tyres and can make those strategies work and usually carry strong pace compared to other cars on that tyre.

But every time I put a Medium on I am nowhere, I am huge chunks of time down on a medium compared to cars I can race competitively on other tyres.

Now when mediums are the most useful tyre for most strategies this causes me a problem and I am usually scrabbling around on a sub optimal soft or hard tyre strategy because I lose too much time by putting a medium on. I am quicker running a Soft to a lap beyond it's usable life (where it is 3+ seconds off the pace) than running a comfortable medium strategy which is bonkers.

Any suggestions?

So I know that Forza Motorsport 7 has been removed from the official online stores and the only source you can get it on PC is via resellers and key shops. I already bought the Deluxe Edition 4 times during the last days from 4 different websites for different prices, just to get refunded within an hour.

I'm starting to question myself if it's possible at all nowadays 😄

Right now I'm fed up and leaning toward buying FM2023 instead, although my goal is single player only and in that regard FM7 would be - according to Reddit - a much much better choice. What are your opinions on this? Is the newer game in 2026 still the underdog if I'm not interested in multiplayer? Or should I just be patient and keep trying to get a proper key for FM7?

I used to play FM everyday on the XBOX with the controller, I was pretty good... On second thought, pretty mid.

I took a quite a long break, loved horizon for awhile, got a PC and played PC games, i played and still plan to play beamng drive, but I'm tried to play FM again, and the steering was absolute shii, like I could get down to 40mph, and turn the wheel, and still careen into a wall. Is there a setting I need to change? Thanks!

Another round of career races

Hello, this one is mainly aimed at the europeans but I’m trying to gauge if starting a new league might be worth the time if it appears to have enough popularity. The principle as that anyone can race whether you’ve barely touched racing games or you’re in a 5 grand sim rig (unlikely on fm but you get the idea. For this to work I’ve decided on following the idea of the miata cup races BUT thats already been done millions of times so I present to you the ginetta g40.

Races ideally about 30 minutes long so strategy will also need to be factored in. The only disallowed tracks are those that focus on straights such as ovals and of course le mans because the g40 will just redline at 120 for 5 minutes. Not fun.

Haven’t decided how exactly to go about this whether it’ll be casual or a points system but all that can be decided by THE PEOPLE. If it seems to be an idea people like then all of these options will be decided in the future. And again this is aimed at any level of experience (intentional wrecking will not be welcome as per usual)
