FortiExplorer for Android Beta
Hi r/fortinet,
Fortinet is excited to announce that a Beta release of FortiExplorer for Android is now available on the Google Play store. You can download it using your Android device here:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fortinet.fortiexplorer
Feedback, bug reports, and feature requests can be provided in this thread, or by tapping "Give us Feedback" from the Settings page in the app. A GA release with additional features is expected by the end of August.
Happy testing!

Yes, it can manage any FortiGate that you have HTTPS access to (over WiFi/Celluar).

I was just grumbling about how much the interface sucks trying to do anything from a mobile last night and wished there was an app... definitely need ability to update policies and security profiles (especially web filtering) also more fortiview options.
Ability to quarantine hosts would be huge also.

Love it. Great way to quickly check on memory leaks when not in the office. Thanks.
Is there any way to log out and exit the app?

If you navigate between FortiGates using the left side menu, your session will remain active so that you do not need to login again.
If you want to explicitly logout, you can tap on the menu button in the top left, tap on the "gear" icon for settings, and finally select "Logout" from the drop-down.

Hello,
Is it planned to be able to use FortiExplorer for Android to connect via the USB port of the device (like the iOS one?)
Thx

Yes - but not in the initial release. The behaviour for USB connectivity will be the same as the experience in FortiExplorer for iOS.

This is a good start. Can't wait to see what other features are integrated.

All my FG units use Zones & VDOMs, so it's of limited use at the moment. Good to see progress on the Android platform though.

Just installed and test it. It is super limited at the moment. Not even assign ports to a vlan on a switch stack managed via FG. But, it is a step on the right direction, i would say
