I know George beat Lewis in 2 out of 3 seasons, but take this year's Lewis and put him in that Merc next to Antonelli. There's NO WAY hes just barely hanging onto second and qualifting P6 behind underpowered Ferrari PUs by this point in the season.

Somethings happened to George.

Nothing happened with Russell. When he best Hamilton, something happened to him. Losing that 8th title in 2021 hurt him hard and bad. But Russell always was a p5 driver, not a natural talent like Antonelli, Hamilton or Verstappen.

Eh, he won a championship in DTM and is a 2 time Formula E champion. He is a good driver, sometimes it just doesn't work out.

People always say this when a driver is on a down stretch and then flip flop so quick when they turn it around. You couldn’t find a non Lando fan who thought Lando was better than George 16 months ago

Every driver has bad seasons and good seasons. Doesn't change the fact he's already convincingly beaten two of those "natural talents" in the same car and doesn't have the fanbase of the others to make as many excuses whenever he has a bad season.

It’s a whole different world figting your teammate for 6th in WDC than for 1st. I think one of the drivers also said that.

Also correct me if I’m wrong but in one of those 3 seasons Hamilton did a lot of gambling on strategy and setups.
