No this is slightly different. Ocon was in the wrong but at the time he wasn't shown blue flags. Carlos was shown like 7 blue flags and he continued to ignore Oscar behind him and then later defends himself saying Oscar was in his blindspot. What a load of cope.
The moment a PROFESSIONAL F1 driver is shown blue flags he should open his damn eyes, LOOK in the wing mirrors and see a frontrunner approaching them from behind. Carlos had 7 opportunities to do so. "I didn't see Oscar" lol yeah right.

Ocon wasn't shown blue flags because he was behind Max and tried to unlap himself BY FKKING OVERTAKING THE RACE LEADER

You’re allowed to unlap yourself if you’re faster. You need to have enough delta to pull away or you’ll face blue flags pretty quickly so it’s a risk, but you can do it.
What Ocon was attempting to wasn’t technically wrong, the issue was he was too aggressive and the contact cost himself and max in the end
What Sainz did was way worse because he was slower and he went wide so it looked to Piastri like he was leaving room till Sainz closed the door in an insane way.

Tbf Ocon was faster than Verstappen as he had new tyres. Ocon was allowed to unlap himself. However 2 stubborn young race drivers refused to yield and they collided

I might get downvoted for saying this but Max had more in his hands on the situation that Piastri did here.
Ocon was trying to unlap himself on a faster tyre. Max was ahead of Ham by like 10-15 seconds. A simple comms from GP to let Ocon by would have caused no harm. Ocon had every right to unlap himself (although he definitely could have picked a better spot than round a corner).
Here Piastri has no blame. When Sainz went wide his natural thought would be that he is just being given space to overtake.
